OB PHYSICIAN/NURSE CLINICAL CONSULTANT
The Clinical department of PeriGen, Inc., the leading OB Risk Reduction Company, headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey, is currently recruiting Consultants with expertise in Obstetrics and Labor and Delivery. This individual works actively with the Chief Clinical Solutions Officer to consult with clients in clinical matters, analyze potential clinical and patient safety situations, and to recommend improvement opportunities and solutions for an optimal outcome.
Job responsibilities include the clinical implementation of PeriBirth in a client hospital or clinic, the workflow analysis process, configuration of the system to specific hospital needs, and support for the “Go-Live” of the system in the hospital. This role will function as part of the implementation team, incorporating risk management feedback to implement solutions into the client’s workflow and culture. Part of this role will support organizational and cultural changes in the hospital. This position is also responsible for the continuous and ongoing clinical maintenance and support of the PeriBirth.
Preferred skills include prior experience in hospital risk management and Obstetrical clinical work, the ability to efficiently manage projects, and to read, analyze and interpret clinical periodicals, medical journals, technical procedures or government regulations.

Minimum requirements are:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited School of Medicine with Obstetrical experience, OR graduate of an accredited school of nursing: BSN required with a minimum of 7-10 years of Obstetrical experience, and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Labor & Delivery experience preferred, and previous Management role in Obstetrics strongly preferred.
- Also, familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is essential, as is the ability and willingness to travel extensively within the United States. TECHNICAL CONSULTANT
Reports to: VP/Technology
Location: Princeton, N.J.
Scope & Responsibilities:
The primary objective of the position is to lead all technical activities relating to the installation and maintenance of the software in the hospital or clinic, including server and workstation installation, network and system verification in a Microsoft environment, interface adjustment and integration, troubleshooting, and support.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installing current version of application on hospital servers and workstations.
- Configuration and installation of HL7 protocol interfaces between systems.
- Verification of hospital network and setup.
- Assistance in finding technical and workflow solutions.
- Maintain timely meetings and communications with clients.
- Train client representatives as to the structure and maintenance of the system.
- Customer support of proprietary application in client/server environment.
- Participates in the project core team and reports on a regular basis to Project Management and supervisors.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years with Microsoft Network environment delivering software and systems support to, or working within, hospitals and healthcare providers.
- Network monitoring and using network analysis tools for Windows 2000/2003 environment including AD.
- HL7 interfacing protocol.
- SQL query language, SQL server 2000/2005+.
- Experience with Citrix.
- Experience with EMRs or similar.
- MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
- Strong Project Management.
- Experience managing electronic medical records, or similar.
- Ability to travel in the US (up to 25% on average).

Education:
Requires BS/BA in related field; Masters degree a plus
