MedStar Hospitals Honored at Obstetric Care Conference: The Third Annual PeriGen Knowledge Summit

Princeton, NJ (June 2, 2010) – PeriGen, Inc., the only OB-specific risk reduction

financial value, awarded MedStar Health’s Franklin Square and Harbor
Hospitals with the prestigious Award for Advancing the Science of OB Care
Through Research Using PeriBirth™, an OB specific clinical decision support
solution which recognizes and assures that the prescribed course of care is
followed and documented, assisting the facilities’ doctors and nurses, and
improving the quality of patient care.

The Award was presented at PeriGen’s 2010 Knowledge Summit in Washington,
D.C., a gathering of nationally-recognized obstetric experts and safe birth
advocates who exchanged ideas and information on how to improve the standard
of care for U.S. mothers and the more than 4 million babies expected to be born
this year.

Franklin Square Hospital is a 380-bed facility in Baltimore, MD, and the largest
community teaching hospital in the state. Harbor Hospital, also located in
Baltimore, is a 222-bed facility located on the scenic the Patapsco River and
offering leading-edge technology and world-class physicians. The award was
presented by Emily Hamilton, MD, PeriGen’s Senior Vice President of Clinical
Research.
